LUNA

Luna (Akita) will be 3 years old in February.  She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed.

formerly known as Kiki. She has returned to kennels due to her dislike of the family cat - no other reason.

Her family have had this to say about her in the hope that she can get a new home:-

She has been a lovely dog quite chilled but has her zoomy moments which can be scary given her size.  Doesn’t chew furniture but don’t leave boxes or deliveries out as she will open them for you.

Well house trained, we took her out at 7am where she always did her morning delivery. She does not like to be in closed rooms, she wants to be out and have access to the house as this is probably her protection mode but she slept from 11 to 7 with no noise or fuss.

Treats for being good during the day, walk at 5ish and then dinner, than a last walk at 10 to empty the tank and chase foxes.

Loves toys and is not protective of them, but will protect a bone so if you do give her one leave it alone.

She is calm around noises, fireworks, trucks etc she does not care about them.

Very strong on the lead.

She was friendly with every person we introduced her to, but I would say no small kids in the house and finally definitely no Cats in the house.

She would suit a family with older kids over 15, no cats and a larger size house as she is very big.

Overall a lovely dog, wants cuddles and rubs, great protector, loves treats and chicken and biscuits.

We would ideally like to see  Luna go to a home where she is not going to be left all day or for long periods of time.

A secure garden with 6ft fencing is a must.

Experience / understanding of this breed or with larger dogs would be advantageous as Akita's are not ideal for novices

Contact Wallace Kennels - she is in Essex so you would need to be prepared to travel to CM15.

An application form is required in the first instance but do not apply if you are currently away or will not be around in the next few weeks.

If you apply, you will receive an email from us within the next 24 hours.  This may end up in your spam box so please ensure to look there from time to time.
