Belgium Shepherd - 3 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
HUGO went to his new home last week (17th August) but sadly failed and is now back in kennels. He is now our longest residents having been with us since November last year and this was his first ever home placement so was worth a try. He has also only ever had one other visitor in all that time.
Despite being offered 6 weeks of paid behavioural support they felt Hugo was too much of a dog to deal with - he is totally fixated on other dogs and the noises outside of the home although he has got so used to the other dogs and noises now at the kennels and generally only reacts if a dog reacts to him here.
Hugo is a very good looking Belgium Shepherd - 3 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
He is a very intelligent dog. Super people friendly boy but sadly NOT dog or cat friendly. He is getting better at being able to walk past other dogs without issue but he will react to a reactive dog.
Hugo is very loving and affectionate with his humans. He is totally house trained and travels well. He does initially pull on the lead but does calm down however he will need someone on the other end of the lead who is able to control and handle him as he is a strong boy - would not advise a first time owner.
Hugo loves his food and his toys - it is a toss up which he prefers most as he is almost always seen with a toy in his mouth.
Any children in the home need to be 7+
We would love to see Hugo go to a home where he is going to be part of the family and not left for long periods of time on his own.
A secure garden with 6ft fencing is a must.
Hugo is definitely NOT for a first timer or novice dog handler - experience with the breed or large dogs needed.
