3 years old, Jack Russell, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Took this little lad to the vets the other day and he travels well, walks well on his lead, was extremely well behaved and happily sits for a cuddle. He loves fuss and attention. Fully house trained. However:
He is good with cats and dogs inside of the house, chases cats outside and hates other dogs. He doesn't like to be left and will howl for a while, doesn't like heavy rain, thunder, lightning, fireworks and such like, likes to lick everything - sofas, bedding etc, he is food possessive, likes to escape even tries to wriggle out of harnesses. Doesn't like giving up his seat on the sofa or chair.
He likes a bath but doesn't like puddles, lakes. He is used to sleeping in a crate at night, he likes to eat alone, he is used to living with a guinea pig even allowing it to run around free with him.
Rupert's issues are nothing major especially for someone who is used to dogs / terriers but either way he does need an experienced and understanding loving caring home.
We will not home him with children under 10 years old and are ideally looking for a home where he is not left for more than a few hours per day max.
