Have you seen a dog that you like the look of? Please click HERE for the short application form.
After you have submitted your application form, the next step is to contact the kennels to make sure the dog is still available and suitable.
If you are still interested in the dog, we would ask you to visit the kennels at a mutually convenient time to view the dog and take it for a walk to see how you get on and we can answer any questions you may have. You can initially come alone but it is preferable, especially if you have partners/children/other dogs to consider that these be brought along too, thus making sure everyone will get on, or these can be brought at further visits if required.
For your information, majority of our dogs come to us as strays so their background history, real name, age etc. is unknown. We do our very best to get to know all of our residents, so should be able to advise on behaviour, interaction, temperament, approximate age, feeding and anything else that we have learnt about the dog whilst in our care. We are happy to answer any questions/concerns you may have at our meeting.
Please be advised that we do not reserve dogs over the phone.
Most of our new homes come via recommendation or past dealings, as the kennels have been operating for nearly 50 years, so you may be able to take your new dog home on the day of the visit.
You will need to bring with you some form of identification showing proof of your current home address, the adoption fee and if possible a video of your garden. If we need to carry out a home-check we will and this will be done asap before the dog can be released. In such cases, a deposit will be required.
NB: Staffies & similar types will not be released without a prior home-check. All of our dogs are neutered / spayed, microchipped, up-to-date with flea and worming treatments, vaccinated and are re-homed with 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance. We also supply a new collar and a lead to take your dog home with.
If you require any essentials for your dog to get you started – just ask – all we ask in return is a donation to help our funds.
Our adoption fees range from £130 to £200. We do not have credit card facilities at the kennels so please bear this in mind before coming to view/collect.
